Ripple Joins International Swaps and Derivatives Association (ISDA)
Ripple SEC Lawsuit
Ripple Labs has joined the International Swaps and Derivatives Association (ISDA), which is a trade group for the OTC derivatives market. Joining the ranks of JP Morgan, Blackrock, Goldman Sachs, BNY Mellon, and the London Stock Exchange, it is one of the few crypto market organizations to do so.
Companies, investment managers, and insurers are just a few of the types of organizations that make up the members of the International Swaps and Derivatives Association (ISDA).
Intriguingly, Algorand is listed as a member of the organization’s Digital Assets category. Several banks, companies, and governments throughout the world are already engaging with Ripple.
Member of Elite Group
By joining ISDA, Ripple has joined more than a thousand other institutions from 79 different countries. It is unclear, however, if the corporation and the trade group really worked out any kind of joint venture.
Judge Analisa Torres’ recent finding that the sale of XRP tokens to individual consumers does not constitute securities, whereas the sale of XRP tokens to institutional holders amounts to securities, was a welcome development for the firm. Officials from Ripple have said that the firm is once again actively pursuing partnerships and business in the United States.
